Winner of the 2023 Bayside Acquisitive Art Prize


‘Self-portrait with strawflower’ has been announced as the winner of the 2023 Bayside Acquisitive Art Prize! Established in 2015, the Bayside Acquisitive Art Prize is a celebration of contemporary Australian painting. The finalist exhibition brings together a broad range of artists, both established and lesser known, whose varied approaches to the painted medium conveys the breadth and diversity of painting in Australia today. This painting was selected from a total of 38 finalists and the work will be acquired by the Bayside City Council. Visitors to the Bayside Gallery can see the painting on display alongside other finalists until 2 July, 2023.

Finalist in the 2023 Omnia Art Prize

‘She told me echinacea could cure loneliness’ and ‘Cottage garden (Sunday Reed)’ have been selected for the 2023 Omnia Art Prize! The Omnia Art Prize is an annual art competition open to established and emerging Australian contemporary artists. All work is available to purchase, with proceeds going towards the St Kevin’s College Foundation.
